The noble art” is an apt title for this exhilarating sport, where work, discipline and strength of character come together to offer an unequivocal sporting experience. Boxing is widely recognised in the world of sport as being one of the most effective physical activities, yet it offers many other benefits such as improving self-esteem, integrity and camaraderie. Whether you dream of standing on the Olympic podium or simply participating in a fun and challenging sport, the various styles of boxing will teach you values that will last a life time. 

Bushiwa means ‘truth’:  Like truth, boxing belongs to nobody. And like truth, boxing can help you reach your goals in many different ways.

Kick-Boxing

Even boxing purists have to admit that using both hands and feet is nowadays a key feature of the boxing discipline. This combined use of arms and legs, offers a wider range of moves, as well as a fun element or technical improvement to light or full contact kickboxing. Whatever your level, kick boxing improves endurance and muscle tone, as well as your general fitness. A normal class kicks off with a full warm up then moves on to technique practice (either contact or non-contact) and finishes off with some stretching and cool down exercises. Safety is a top priority in all of our classes and we insist on protection being worn during training.

Educational Boxing

Educational boxing is a boxing discipline which is open to everybody. It differs from traditional amateur boxing in the following ways:

  • you can have fun with your opponent
  • you must not hurt your adversary
  • any violent behaviour will be reprimanded
The foundations of boxing stay the same, but the contender evolves and improves due to their technical and tactical skills rather than the strength of their blows.

Padbox

Originating from the UK, Padbox is a form of boxing that gives you the same rush of adrenaline as other boxing sports but in a contact free environment. Padbox enables you to improve your performance, to let go of stress and to reap the physical benefits of other boxing disciplines in a risk free setting. A Padbox session will help you improve your physical endurance, your coordination and your reflexes, allowing each person to progress at their own speed.

Coaching

Sports coaching is personalised, professional training adapted to your age, gender and physical condition. Coaching enables you to see measured results in obtaining your goals. It can also help you to get in shape, lose weight, increase lung capacity and flexibility, therefore allowing you to perfect your technique in your chosen discipline.

Alpha Mulumba

We have the honour and the privilege to have known boxing commentator Alpha Mulumba. With a voice that resonated in the boxing halls, Alpha Mulumba was known not only as a superb mathematician but more famously as a boxing commentator, inspiring people inside and outside of the boxing ring. Alpha, whose voice could captivate any audience, whether in the smallest of galas or the most prestigious championships, will surely never be forgotten.
